Born
Kono Bui' Foundation is born

Founded by the visionary leader Sia Moiwa, a Sierra Leonean in the diaspora, an accomplished Human Resources Professional, Certified Trauma Recovery Coach, Christian Counselor, and Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Trainer. Kono Bui’ Foundation was born out of a deep, personal calling to serve. What began as a heartfelt response to the pain, trauma, and critical gaps in care and support she witnessed in her homeland quickly evolved into a mission-driven movement. Sia could not ignore the call to create a safe space for healing, empowerment, and mental health advocacy in Sierra Leone. The foundation was not just formed; it was birthed from purpose, legacy, and the unshakable belief that healing is possible when communities are equipped and seen.
