Mental Health Recovery

Our education model is inclusive, collaborative, and equitable; where learning to know, Learning to do, learning to live together, and learning to be is at the center of providing education and learning opportunities for all. We empower the purpose of understanding oneself and the world by expanding the knowledge of reading and writing.

Education & Literacy

We transform communities by teaching entrepreneurship and providing resources that ignite innovation: to create wealth and independence that will promote sustainability by diversifying the economy, creating, and retaining jobs, and enhancing prosperity and quality of life for all.

WHO WE ARE ?

Empowerment

Mental Health Educators

Mental Health Educators at Kono Bui’ Foundation embody the spirit of empowerment. They are seasoned experts who equip individuals with comprehensive knowledge about mental health. Through specialized training programs, they empower our staff and volunteers with the skills to address a range of mental health challenges. By imparting practical tools and insights, they enable our team to make a lasting impact on the well-being of the Sierra Leonean community.

Compassionate Response

Mental Health First Aiders

At the heart of our organization’s mission is compassion, and our Mental Health First Aiders exemplify this principle. They are the compassionate first responders in times of mental health crisis. Armed with empathetic listening, understanding, and basic intervention techniques, they provide immediate support to individuals in distress. These dedicated individuals offer a caring presence and help bridge the gap between crisis and professional care.

Restoration

Trauma Healing Facilitators

Trauma Healing Facilitators are the architects of restoration at Kono Bui’ Foundation. They guide individuals on a transformative journey to heal from emotional wounds and trauma. Through evidence-based practices, they create safe spaces for survivors to share their experiences, process their pain, and find a path toward healing. These facilitators play a pivotal role in helping individuals rebuild their lives and regain a sense of wholeness.

Advocacy

Community Activist

Our Community Activists are the driving force behind change in Sierra Leone. With a steadfast commitment to advocacy, they work tirelessly to destigmatize mental health issues and increase awareness within local communities. These activists engage in meaningful dialogues, collaborate with partners, and influence policies to ensure that mental health receives the attention and support it deserves. Through their efforts, they catalyze a society that prioritizes mental well-being.
